More on Life Extension

I knew there were a lot of common sense habits we could acquire to live longer and healthier, but I did not know all the 140 things Dr. Roizen recommends in his book Real Age. He even has a web site where you can check your real age compared to your chronological one, the one that started the day you were born.

Checking your Real Age on this site has the major benefit of making you think about your own lifestyle and possibly help you decide to change some destructive habits. If you do, you will realize how difficult it is to change any habit.

I strongly believe that the problem starts with your self image, the idea of who you are and what you have the power to do. Most of the bad habits you build overtime are the result of an undervalued image. You don't have enough respect for your own body to stop smoking for instance. And yet your body is a marvel of nature, one of the most complex and sophisticated organism alive. And you have the power to not only stop destroying it, but even improving its quality, capacity and longevity.

To do it, you have to change the way you think, your perception of what is happening in your life. You have to choose the long road to wisdom and happiness.
